As a young boy I quickly fell in love with woodwork. The unique qualities of every piece of wood brings a new excitement to every project. For over a decade I worked in the Woodworking industry learning a wide variety of skills and capabilities. From the basics of cabinetry to the elegant and complicated architecture of 5 Star resorts. I studied Architecture and Cabinetry at Utah Valley University and later returned to teach a lab course. During my college education, I competed in the Skills USA program in the field of Cabinetry. My first year competing, I took 1^st in the region and state competitions.  I placed 4^th at the national competition. This drove me to try again the following year and in 2005 I won 1^st place at the regional, state and national levels in Cabinetry. I later went on to get a second degree from Dixie State University in Business Administration. During my studies at Dixie, I established Dr. Detail’s Custom Works LLC. It was my goal to be able to share my skills and abilities with those who have a desire for unique, custom pieces of woodwork that are crafted to specific needs and desires. Since 2013, I have completed many unique pieces and look forward to creating many more in the years to come.
